And this bench, in Canmore, actually reminds me of one of my favourite commissions of all time. It was so long ago now, and the situation was hilarious. I was set to complete this commission for a couple who had recently gotten engaged right at this spot. However, my partner Ian and I both got Covid and had to isolate in his bachelor apartment. I brought my paints with me an during the second week of isolation worked on this beautiful commission. It brought me so much joy! I based this off of a gorgeous photo that a friend sent to me, and I cannot get over the beauty of the reference photo composition. It is that perfect time when the snow is still visible, but the water of the stream is also reflecting beautifully.
