I haven't been able to stop painting Morraine Lake since going there this past summer with my mom and my (now fiance) Ian. There is something about this iconic landscape that never stops my artistic wheels from turning, and this one lead me to the round canvas for the composition. I love how it makes the mountains seem even more grand - almost like you are peering at them from inside through a tiny round window.
It's almost like I want to keep breathing in that fresh mountain air over and over again while I paint it. I can't help but love it - Icons are icons for a reason!
