Dreams in A=415

"Dreams in A=415" is an original acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

This painting is part of my 2026 collection: "Sometimes Sunny - The Colours of Hope" and is currently hanging in an exhibition at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium until December 2026. This series has both the places that I find provide hope in my life, and the instruments that I spend my life playing! (Or attempting to play, like the organ!). This keyboard instrument is the harpsichord - originally tuned to A415 (hence the super nerdy title). I often think about this instrument fondly because I played an opera on a harpsichord back in 2019 with Opera Nuova in Edmonton. It was the first time I was working on this keyboard instrument for an entire show, and I fell so deeply in love with the spritely character. It was gorgeous, and feisty! It has such a hopeful uplifting character, which is why it is depicted with a yellow background! I am sure this neon keyboard instrument would brighten any space!
