I Still Love You

"I Still Love You" is an original acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas.

A few weeks ago my older brother sent this beautiful photo to the "Clan Chat". The only caption or description he gave was that he and his family stopped their camper van at this turnout and woke up to the most amazing view. I was enamoured by the photograph, and truly cant wait to revisit it again very soon! 

The title comes from a song by Jacob Collier that I was listening to while I was painting called "You Can Close Your Eyes" which I love (and have named other paintings after!). And the lyrics "so this whole world must be spinning 'round, and I still love you" kept playing over and over and over again in my head. Even now as I am writing this, I know it will be stuck in there for the rest of the day now! Time with our loved ones whether it is interacting with a photo in the family group chat, or parking the van at a beautiful spot to rest for the night is such a precious time. I wanted this painting to bring a lightness, and have the whole thing bathed in warm light through adding little hints of yellow everywhere.
