"Let Us Be" is an original acrylic painting on a 12" Round canvas and is part of my "To Love, Love" Collection.
This is a joyful painting, that explores large happy orange flowers, and small vivid yellow petals that scatter all over the piece. This piece was a tester piece for this color palette, and I loved making it. I named it "Let Us Be" because it is a love song to my own painting practice, and a line taken from one of my all-time favourite songs "How Deep is Your Love"; both the BeeGee's recording and PJ Morton's. Letting paintings rest, and just exist is something that I have difficulty with at times, and this painting is a testament to that. Sometimes, we overthink love, and just need to let it be, and answer the question posed by the Bee Gees by letting something be what it is!
