She Has Quiet Strength

"She Has Quiet Strength" is an original acrylic painting on maple cradled panel in a gallery depth floater frame from Rustic Burl Co.  

This painting is part of the "Her Flowers Collection" which is like a bouquet of flowers that lasts forever. It was painted in a series of three florals this year, all exploring notes of "prussian blue" which is covering the sides of all three in the custom painted frames. Peonies always make me think of quiet strength - maybe it's because they grow so beautifully and MUST be attacked by ants in order to bloom well... or maybe it's just that they are huge majestic blooms. Either way, this painting is an homage to women in my life that show consistent quiet strength and are an inspiration to me.
