No One Will Take that Time Away

"No One Will Take that Time Away" is an original acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas and is part of my "To Love, Love" Collection. 

This painting is of the road to Emerald Lake, which brings me such a sense of nostalgia. It takes me to a heart place that misses times with loved ones when things were simpler, and easy. You know that time before we were adults, and there was grief, and work and exhaustion? 

Thinking on the theme of "To Love, Love" I wanted a piece to acknowledge the many past loves of our lives. The ones that we wish were in our present spaces. A scene like this, with the sunlight glinting off the light dusting of snow on the road, is so hopeful to me and I wanted to capture the sincere sentiment that not a single person will be able take away the time spent with these loves. These lyrics are from Jacob Collier's song You Can Close Your Eyes which has brought me a lot of comfort this year. 

This painting, full of light and joy and all the goodness of nostalgia would brighten any space.
