I Got You Babe

"I Got You Babe" is an original acrylic painting on a 7/8" low profile canvas and is part of my "To Love, Love" Collection. 

In my painting playlist, I have this song called "I Got You Babe" originally recorded by Sunny and Cher. However, I adore the cover by Etta James that has a bombastic horn section and just makes you want to dance. I love the line that says "cause you got me, and I got you baby". The vivid colors in this painting make me smile because they mirror the many loves in my life, - platonic, familial and romantic. This sentiment of knowing that you are held by another person, and that you, in turn, hold space for them is truly what I think love should be. 

I hope that you are reminded by a person in your life that has "got you", and that this painting celebrates them.
